Hand embroidery on Japanese kozuke #wsashows2013
Alcohol marker colour tests

Having gone home for the weekend I’ve been surrounded by daffodils, chickens and Easter films, so thought I’d post a Spring themed development piece for my FMP.
This collage is based on a kimono mentioned in Memoirs of a Geisha, ‘with white flowers like cutouts all over it’.
Kimono-inspired experimentation with patterns and printing for my Final Major Project, a self written brief creating illustrations in response to the novel ‘Memoirs of a Geisha’ by Arthur Golden.
I can just hear my mum now: ‘Stop playing with your food!’ / ‘Eat your vegetables or there won’t be any pudding!’
